Denim Clutch With Crocheted Flowers

This is a little denim clutch that I finished today.  I attached several crocheted flowers in various sizes and colors to the front side of it.   At first I tried sewing the flowers on and then quickly decided that using fabric glue was so much easier.  The glue I used is amazing.  It dries fast and doesn't leave the flowers feeling stiff.  I can think of so many other projects to try this glue on.  Well, anyway, one of my girls is getting this little creation for Christmas.  I can't believe how close the Holidays are.  The outdoor Christmas Lights are already set and stocked on the sales floor of the store I work at.  We are selling solar powered string lights that would be awesome to keep up year round wrapped around potted tress and maybe even my outdoor furniture.  This year I'm buying a Rosemary bush.  They smell so good and they might even hold up in our Arizona weather.  I still hope to acquire a green thumb.  What is it they say...Practice makes Perfect?

TWEAKING

Spent some time today tweaking my blog.  Revised my profile and added some slide shows of other artists' trading cards.  Having fun playing with the gadgets and learning along the way.  I need to open a flicker account so I make my own slide shows.  I never thought I would enjoy blogging, but I'm so glad my daughter Amber set me up with this blogger site.  When I'm posting something I tell my husband that "I'm publishing now", he gets a real kick out of that.  I'm a publisher.  How awesome is that.  At least it is for me and I'm have a great time with it.  The painting of the owl that I added to my header is something my oldest daughter Natika did for me.  I love Owls.  I think I'll post pictures of all my owl objects on the new blog I working on called Little Treasuretopia.  I'm thinking I should invest in better camera  with a macro lens so I can take better close up pictures...maybe somehow one will find it's way to me... oh beautiful and amazing universe.

I have found a few quotes and poems to add, but haven't typed them out yet. I'm still sending my wish out into the universe for some original poetry from bloggers to add to my art journal. Always hopeful and hoping always to share in the art of words, paper and color.

As I'm working on this journal, I can't help but take joy in this new freedom that I've allowed myself to play with. The freedom to create just for the pure joy of it. I know that there are only probably just a few people that visit my blog and that's okay. This is a gift I've given to myself...this wonderful year of living artfully. Everyday I try to work on something, whether it's drawing, scrapbooking, sewing, or crocheting. Evening reading and viewing my favorite artsy Podcasts keeps me on track of my daily pursuits of living artful. I know that I'm a happier person because of this devotion, this artful intent. I hope this joy finds you smiling and moving you towards color and music and words and places and people that are over flowing with this same intent. Be Creative... The Universe Loves it!
